AboutMe

At 15 I began writing a series of Journals. Most of these journals were based on observation, of others and myself. It helped me improve my sense of awareness. Free Writing was a unexpected gift for me, as it was one of the very few activities I engaged in that help me gained useful perspective in understanding myself and the world around me.  I had a history teacher who made me immensely intrigued by the psychology behind human behavior which would ultimately lead me to study history & psychology in college.

A perfectionist attitude often prevented me from attempting to pursue a career in writing, as I never thought I would be capable of writing in a professional platform. That and the combination of extreme laziness. It wasn't till I reached high school where I was nominated for the National Peer Leaders conference in DC that I felt my writing could possibly have a foreseeable future. In College I was recognized in a ceremony by the Dean of Students for a first place essay constant comparing the United States Constitution with Civil Rights which helped reinforce my decision to pursue writing actively. In 2014 I began writing for the largest LBGT publication in the south-east, the South Florida Gay News.

At 27 I purchased my first two cameras. A Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera and a Canon 5d Mark ii soley for the purpose of beginning to learn how to shoot film vs photography. I began learning the basic fundamentals of film cameras and editing software such as Final Cut Pro.

I am looking to build my resume and continue writing and expand into different areas of writing.
